If Master and i lived together i would never stop serving him. Today i am busy in my kitchen. I love my kitchen. I love to cook and bake things that delight my family. Yesterday i made soup and bread. Today i am making a different kind of bread and chicken and dumplings. I may make banana bread too with the leftover bananas i have. My house has the delightful aromas of chicken soup and bread just now. I love that. Who needs a Glade scented candle? Although i adore the scents of candles and oils; they make the house a home.

And even though my Master does not live with me, the things i do for my family are still ways of serving Him. My actions reflect His Ownership of me. When i am being productive and taking care of my loved ones i am serving Him as well. I am being the type of person He treasures. Who wouldn’t treasure joyful service?

This is how i maintain my focus in times of absence. I remember that every action i take reflects on my Owner. This way i never stop thinking of Him. Master is continually on my mind because i am a walking/talking image of His Hand. The Hand that makes me who i am. The Hand that makes me a proud slave. Not pride in myself, but pride in my Ownership.

Ways i can serve Master:

• instant, unwavering obedience (aligning myself in thought, speech, and action to His will)
• putting His needs first (respecting Him; anticipating His needs)
• dressing the way He commands
• taking care of my family’s needs
• taking care of my house
• taking care of my health (rest, exercise, sleep, diet)
• taking care of my children’s health
• being productive
• achieving goals set for me
• excelling at work
• expanding my mind
• expanding my limits (though i’m not allowed any, being open to new things)
• maintaining my focus on Him (not letting outside stressors carry me away)
• exceeding His expectations
• controlling my emotions (not taking away Master’s joy in owning me)
• striving to be pleasing
• discovering new significant accomplishments
• holding to His values
• keeping my sense of humor
• laying all my concerns, problems, fears right at His feet

In these ways i am honoring Master and keeping to my place as His slave. I hope i’m allowed to serve Master in these ways for a very long time to come.
